Electric Motorcycle
The electric motorcycle market is facing
a technology gap
following the carbon-neutral policy, there has been a shift from internal combustion engine vehicles to eco-friendly vehicles. Concerns about environmental pollution caused by automobiles have led to the transition from traditional cars to hybrid cars, and then from hybrid cars to 100% electric cars in the automobile industry.
Some companies are researching and developing in-wheel electric vehicles as the next generation of mobility. They are concentrating batteries by creating dedicated platforms, advancing the technologies to control each motor for more effective driving.
Conversely, low specifications in terms of output and size are needed for personal mobility devices and electric bicycles. These do not require high technologies.
However, compared to the high demand for electric motorcycles, the technology in this area is still lacking.
The majority of products on the market have a power output of around 5kW.
it still does not deviate from the platform of existing internal combustion engine motorcycles. Therefore, it still has a limited driving range, insufficient power, and lacks durability.
Nuvinda has developed a Hubless Direct Driven Motor, which is an innovative driving module. This technology is initially being applied to electric motorcycles, but it has the potential to be used in a variety of fields beyond just electric motorcycles.
